India Gives Hope For The Future: Bill Gates After Meeting RBI GovernorMicrosoft co-founder Bill Gates visited the Reserve Bank of India's office in Mumbai and held talks with RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das today. Bill Gates is currently on a trip to India to witness the progress made in various areas including climate change.
The official Twitter handle of the RBI shared a few pictures from Bill Gates' visit where the philanthropist is seen standing next to Shaktikanta Das.
“Mr. Bill Gates visited RBI Mumbai today and held wide ranging discussions with Governor Shaktikanta Das,” the caption read.
Touching upon climate change and global health, Bill Gate appreciated India's progress in solving various issues. He wrote, “There is no better proof than the remarkable progress that India has accomplished”.
Saying that “India as a whole gives me hope for the future”, Bill Gates wrote that India is about to become the world's most populated country and yet it has “proven it can tackle big challenges”. He underlined that India eradicated polio, reduced poverty, lowered HIV transmission, and increased access to financial services and sanitation among other achievements.
Bill Gates further said he was “going to India next week to see firsthand the work being done by innovators and entrepreneurs”. He said India, despite having limited resources, has shown the world that progress can be still made with that constraint.

Last week, Bill Gates, in his personal blog, Gates Notes, wrote that he would be visiting India to check the progress the country has made over the years. “I'm headed back to India next week. Although I've spent a lot of time there over the years—doing everything from checking out toilets to visiting a village that's home to the one poorest, most underserved castes in India—I haven't been back since before the pandemic. I can't wait to see how much progress has been made in that time,” Mr Gates wrote.Mr.@BillGates visited RBI Mumbai today and held wide ranging discussions with Governor @DasShaktikanta
